Inspired by some ice-dying experimentation using yellows and purples I was thrilled to find the scattered pattern emerging.

Wholecloth. Ice-dyed Radiance silk cotton mix. 

Hand-guided free motion quilting on longarm machine.

Looking Closer

​Whilst working in Malaysia I visited the jungle inland and witnessed the nocturnal spectacle of fireflies at night along the river banks as they appeared to synchronise their light flashes.  Is this a form of social interaction I wondered?
